A picture of Michael Jackson performing ‘Beat It’ during the Bad World Tour appears on a new Pepsi can for the soft drink’s #PepsiGenerations campaign this year.
Ahead of the Super Bowl this Sunday, Pepsi have released their special commercial, which features a clip from the Michael Jackson commercial from the late 1980s.
Michael had been shooting Pepsi commercials since 1983. In 1992 he recorded a duet with a younger version of himself singing the Jackson 5 song ‘I’ll Be There’.
A second recording of the track ‘Price of Fame’, which can be heard on the ‘Bad 25th Anniversary’ album, was originally going to be used in a 1987 Pepsi advert.
In 1992 Michael starred in a special advert for Pepsi, where he chased a woman through a dream world. It also had elements from in 1991 ‘Dangerous’ album cover.
A Ferrari Testarossa Sports car, built in 1986, which Michael drove during a Pepsi commercial in 1987 will be auctioned in Scotsdale Arizona sometime this week!
