Film Festival Honours ‘Thriller’

Yesterday at the Tribeca Film Festival ‘Drive In’ the ‘Thriller 25’ fans turned out in force to enjoy the performances on offer. Vince Patterson, one of Michael’s choreographers, was MC on the night and introduced John Landis, who, of course, directed the original ‘Thriller’ short film which was shown to the audience.

John spoke to the audience and shared anecdotes from the video-shoot. Vince also showed some dance moves to the crowd, and as host of the TV show ‘Step It Up And Dance’, had the cast of that show perform the original dance from the short film.

The North Cove of the World Financial Center hosted the event on a perfect spring evening. Many fans wore white gloves, similar to Michael’s and children had their faces painted like the ‘Thriller’ ghouls. The fans loved the entertainment and spoke of their long time love of ‘Thriller’, reminiscing about their memories of its release.
