Highs and Lows of Rollercoaster Rides

A giant millennium funfair is to be held outside Buckingham Palace to celebrate 150 years of fairground history.

In 1998 three Americans spent 60 days riding a rollercoaster in Atlanta from 8am until 1am the following day – clocking up more than 10,000 miles Disney World is the biggest tourist attraction in the world and was opened on October 1st 1971 when Orlando was little more than swamplands and orange groves. Disney World is now the size of Manchester.

The best known and most visited theme park in Britain is Alton Towers in Staffordshire.

In 1988 Michael paid for 1,400 Alton Towers staff to work overtime so he could hire the place for himself and his friends overnight.
