Michael, who is partner to a joint venture with Detroit businessman and gaming developer Don Barden, paid a visit this afternoon to the World Gaming Congress & Expo. Michael toured the exhibit hall with show officials, meeting with various gaming companies, including riverboat builder Atlantic Marine, Inc., which developed a gaming boat for the Majestic Star Casino, a Don Barden property in Gary, Indiana.
“Michael’s presence at the show is further proof that gaming and entertainment are morphing,” said Charles Anderer, Editorial Director and Associate Publisher of IGWB, International Gaming & Wagering Business magazine, sponsor of World Gaming. “This is not just a Las Vegas phenomenon, but a well entrenched industry reality,” said Anderer.
Michael is expected to return to the Las Vegas Convention Center tomorrow for the concluding day of the show. The 12th Annual World Gaming Congress & Expo, the industry’s biggest business conference and trade show, is expected to attract 23,000 registrants from over 100 countries. All industry segments are represented at the show, including casino, parimutuel, bingo, and charitable gaming.
