‘Earth Song’ Best No.1 Single

The Guardian newspaper (UK) has asked readers to vote for the best number one single from each of the last sixty years.

In 1995 Michael released his ‘HIStory’ album, which contained the iconic anthem ‘Earth Song,’ expressing Michael’s passionate feelings about the work we need to do to heal the harm we have heaped upon our planet.

Michael’s other songs on the same theme, ‘We Are The World,’ and ‘Heal The World,’ were equally effective in raising awareness, and he continued to be concerned until his death.

‘Earth Song’ deservedly became Michael’s biggest selling single here in the UK.
