Michael’s mother, Katherine, and his three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket, will present thirteen pieces of art created by the Michael to the Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles, on Monday afternoon.
Artist Brett Livingstone-Strong, a close friend who Michael once called a “modern-day Michelangelo,” offered to donate the pieces to the hospital. Hospital spokeswoman Lyndsay LaGree said that some of the works are signed by Michael.
The pieces will be unveiled by Katherine Jackson and Michael’s three children at a 2.30 p.m. ceremony at the hospital. Other members of the Jackson family will also be in attendance, along with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, hospital CEO Richard Cordova and trustee Mary Hart.
The artwork will be installed throughout the hospital after an art board determines where the pieces should be displayed, Ms. LaGree said.
