Lloyds Of London Sues AEG

TMZ has reported that Lloyds Of London, one of the world’s largest insurers, has gone to court in Los Angeles, accusing AEG Live and Michael’s Estate, of fraud and wants it’s claim against Lloyds dismissed.

The Estate’s lawyer, Howard Weitzman said “This legal action is nothing more than an insurance company trying to avoid paying a legitimate claim by the insured.”

The suit was filed on Monday and Lloyds wants the court to declare that it does not have to pay for the cancelled ‘This Is It,’ concerts. The insurer argued that Michael and AEG had withheld important information on the state of his health. It said he did not reveal he was taking numerous medicines, including the aesthetic Propofol.

Lloyd’s wants the court to declare the contract void. The case against Conrad Murray is due to begin in September.
