Gary Graffiti

Michael was born and during his early childhood lived in Gary, Indiana, until the family moved to California to work for Motown, as the ‘Jackson 5.’

Graffiti artist Gerry Guevara, has now spray-painted Michael’s portrait onto the side of a Gary building, in memory of the second anniversary of Michael’s untimely death, on June 25th 2009. The portrait is being painted with a variety of designs and bright colours,  on the east side of a tyre-repair shop at Fifth Avenue and Ralston Street.

“I figure this is the best place to do the mural in the city where Michael was born,” Guevara said.
