Wang Jackson On Tour

Pop icon Michael, is “spiritually still alive,” said his impersonator, Wang Jackson, at a press conference at the Millennium Hotel in Abu Dhabi, on Wednesday.

Wang, hailing from China, will be performing at the International Tennis Center, Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi, on Thursday from 9 p.m. onwards, along with his team, consisting of six professional dancers from the United Kingdom, and DJ Sabrina from Germany.

Wang, who has performed several tributes to Michael, will be performing in Abu Dhabi for the first time and will go on for concerts in Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, Lebanon and Canada after his Abu Dhabi tour.

“I loved the late Michael Jackson to the degree of madness and inspiration, which led me to fall in love with the Jackson School with its particular methodology and art under the theme of ‘Excellence in Integrated Performance,’ ” said the artist, who met Michael before his death.

“Being a crazy fan of Michael, I was much saddened by his death and it put me in deep depression. It also left an enthusiasm in me to keep his spirit alive for his fans and admirers, impersonating him, as many had complimented me with his looks, stature and talent,” he remarked at the conference.

He continued, “When I began impersonating Michael it instilled a fear within me, as to how I would imitate such a great legend, knowing that there are tens of impersonators in the world. But I don’t imitate him.

I admit I have a spiritual feeding from Michael Jackson that gives me self confidence and the ability to present the best of the best. I loved the late legend from my heart, and that’s why I decided to study his personality at the beginning then to professionally learn all his moves.”

According to Wang, Michael is a legend that cannot be replaced, but “God has blessed me with his looks and the framework, which helps me with improving my abilities to impersonate the character of Michael Jackson.”

In addition Wang pointed out that he is confident that the audience will be impressed and enjoy his performance, because his moves will be similar to that of the late legend Michael Jackson. Wang will tour Dubai and Ajman after his show on Thursday.

He has been nominated to star in the movie ‘Michael Forever,’ which will be filmed in the United States of America and is a biography, based on Michael’s life.
