‘Thriller-The Movie’, this sounds like a very good idea to several of the largest movie studios who are competing for the chance to make the film. It has already been allocated Kenny Ortega as director. Kenny has already worked on many famous movies, including, of course, the ‘High School Musical’ series, which were an enormous success.
According to Deadline, Summit, Lionsgate and Fox 2000 are all eager to obtain the rights’ package, which includes the services of ‘Thriller’ song writer Rod Temperton and ‘The Hangover’ co-writer Jeremy Garelick, on scripting duties.
Whoever wins the film will also have to wait until a deal is settled with Michael’s estate for the music rights.
