Christine Guntrip

Christine Guntrip, a fifty-two year old grandmother, works as a cleaner and when she was widowed last year, she decided it was time to turn her life around. Christine lost an incredible seventy pounds in weight and began going out in Basildon, Essex, wearing a red and black leather costume like Michael’s.

“I could always sing, as I am semi-professionally trained,” she said. “When I lost the weight, I had a new-found confidence and found I could perform a lot of his (Michael’s) moves. I can even moonwalk!’

Christine now has her first booking to perform like Michael and is hoping to become a full time impersonator. “It’s been a hard year, but since I went from a size eighteen to a size ten I feel like a new person. I’m so full of energy.’ she said. “I’m having a great time and doing something I never thought I’d do.”
