Information From Forest Lawn

Below is an official press release from Forest Lawn Memorial Park regarding visiting the park tomorrow.

All guests of Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks & Mortuaries visiting the Glendale location on Friday, June 25, 2010, should prepare for a significant increase in visitation to the park throughout the day. Please plan accordingly to account for this expected increase of visitors to the park.

Guests planning to visit the Great Mausoleum should understand that the mausoleum is designated as a private facility, and is not open for general visitation by the public. Only family members and designees of the families of those interred in the Great Mausoleum are permitted to enter.

Guests planning on visiting the Holly Terrace area of the Great Mausoleum should be aware that Forest Lawn is private property and it reserves the right to restrict access to any guest if Forest Lawn believes the visit will interfere with its ability to conduct its normal operations, or if Forest Lawn believes attendees are not conducting themselves in a respectful and reverent manner.

Guests must follow the directions of Forest Lawn staff at all times.

Guests will be permitted to walk by the front of Holly Terrace, present and leave tributes (flowers) in a designated area, and then exit the park.

No commercial or professional photography is allowed under any circumstances without the express written consent of Forest Lawn.

Items not permitted include doves, web broadcasting, video cameras, candles, balloons, spinners, statues, posters, incense, radios, or other items that do not conform to the rules and regulations of Forest Lawn.

All guests are expected to respect the privacy of people who are attending funerals or visiting family memorials. Visitors who do not act in a respectful manner, or make too much noise, will be asked to leave.

Park hours: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (any guests within the park must exit at 6:00 p.m.).

Forest Lawn-Glendale is located at 1712 Glendale Avenue in Glendale.
