Michael commissioned custom-made furniture for the home he was to use in London during his ‘This Is It’ concerts. Twenty-two pieces of that furniture will now be auctioned by Julien’s Auctions in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Casino. Among the lots are a red velvet gilded nine-seater sofa, a leopard print chair trimmed with ostrich feathers and a pair of velvet armchairs embroidered with golden eagles. They will be on display at the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Casino from June 14th to June 25t, after which time the auction will take place.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to two charities: MusiCares, which provides healthcare and other services to struggling musicians, and Joshua’s Heart, which aims to halt world hunger.
