Michael To Be Honoured
A 3D presentation of ‘Earth Song’ which was to have been shown during Michael’s fifty concerts in London, will form the focal point of this year’s entire Grammy Awards Show on January 31st at the Staples Center, Los Angeles.
The film will be accompanied by performances by many stars, including Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood, Smokey Robinson and Usher.
The film is five minutes long and has never been seen in 3D before, though clips appeared in normal format in ‘This Is It’, the documentary film of the rehearsals for the London concerts.
This is an unprecedented posthumous tribute to Michael who will also be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy.
Special 3D glasses will be available in Target stores in the US from January 24th through to January 31st.
