An eight foot tall stone monument to Michael has been made in Indiana which will today be unveiled by his father Joseph Jackson. The Reverend Al Sharpton and Reverend Jesse Jackson will also attend the ceremony in Gary, Indiana at Steel Yard a minor league baseball park just two miles from Michael’s former home in Jackson Street.
The black granite stone will bear the words of Michael’s song ‘Gone Too Soon’ and will include etched pictures of Michael’ life. The mask on the front of the stone is from his album ‘Dangerous’.
Gary’s mayor wants to pay tribute to the Jackson family’s contributions to the music industry.
