‘Heal The World’ launched in Liverpool

When toddler James Bulger was murdered in Liverpool by two schoolboys in 1993, Michael’s music was played at the child’s funeral. Since that time, his mother has worked hard to help provide education for children who are bullied at school. James’s mother, Denise Fergus, and her husband attended the official charity ball launch in Kirkby, Liverpool, where there was a CD available of schoolchildren singing Michael’s ‘Heal The World’.

The Charity ‘The James Bulger Red Balloon Centres Appeal’ will open James Bulger House , where fifteen children will be accommodated in order to further their education free from bullying.

Michael has donated the song to the charity for the specific purpose of this appeal, which raised £10,000 that night. The event was attended by the families of other murdered children, including Rhys Jones, Francesca Bimpson and Sarah Payne.
