Jennifer Batten Interview

Looking no older than she did in 1988, Jennifer Batten, the superb guitarist who accompanied Michael on the ‘Bad’ tour and the ‘Dangerous’ tour, was interviewed recently on the possibility of her joining the ‘This Is It’ tour.

The interviewer said that he had seen her on the ‘Bad’ tour and spoke in wonder of her work, particularly on ‘Dirty Diana’, and also on the ‘Dangerous’ tour where she had excelled on ‘Working Day and Night’.

She said that she would love to join Michael’s concert in London, as fifty concerts in one city would not mean that she had to travel to a different place for every show, and would be far more comfortable. She has not yet been approached about joining the show, but is very hopeful as it would be “the bomb”. The only person who has been approached, she says, is Kenny Ortega, who worked with Michael on previous tours, and is also famous for his ‘High School Musical’ work.
