Smap Smap

Today Michael appeared at the taping of the Japanese TV show Smap Smap, surprising 5 young Japanese men who form the group Smap, who present the show. He had watched their performance from a place above the set, and then he walked down the stairs to join them before the camera.

To say they were surprised to see him is an understatement. They were speechless for a moment and just repeated his name over and over, unable to believe that it was really Michael, perhaps thinking he was an impersonator.

He greeted each of them and sat down with an interpreter to join in their show. He appeared to be confident and happy, if a little perplexed by the chaos his appearance had caused.

The show will be shown on Fuji TV on June 5th.
