As part of the Sony promotion for 2006, twenty Michael Jackson singles will be re-released week by week over a five month period. The first two singles will be released simultaneously and also come with the Limited Edition Box to store the rest of the singles as they are released.
The new box set, which Michael has been heavily involved with Producing, will be called ‘Visionary: The Video Singles’. Michael has been the first artist to achieve many great things within the music industry that today we consider to be the norm. In 2006 the King of Pop will be the first artist in history to release Dualdisc singles which is one disc that contains an audio track on one side (CD) and the music video that accompanies it on the other (DVD).
According to HMV, each single will be sold for £4.99 (the first will be sold for £9.99 and will include the Ltd. Edition box) and all packaging of the singles will echo the original picture bags and inner sleeves.
We hope for all the songs to feature highly in the UK Singles Chart over the coming months. The UK release dates for the singles are as follows:
