Louis Vuitton Sparkly Glove Invitation

Michael will be honored tomorrow in Paris by Virgil Abloh, who announced last month that his second collection as Artistic Director for Louis Vuitton would be inspired by Michael.

Yesterday invites for the show went out and instead of a piece of paper with the information on, the designer sent out an embellished white glove to each guest, signed by him, and printed with the address at the Jardin des Tuileries.

Also on the glove, the words, “There was only one us,” which are part of a poem written by Abloh. The sparkly glove is of course one of Michael’s most iconic fashion statements, wearing it in public a lot during the early 1980s and was a staple part of the costume for live performances of ‘Billie Jean.’
