Kenny Wizz In Australia

For more than twenty years Kenny Wizz has impersonated Michael, perfecting a routine that has labeled him as one of the best in the world.

“It wasn’t something I chose or knew I was going to do,” Wizz said. “I have always been a big fan and love the dance style. If you would have told me when I was young this is what I would do in life I would have laughed.”

Wizz’s career began at the early age of fourteen where he would perform street dancing with friends. A striking resemblance to Michael, landed Wizz a TV spot, commercials and personal appearances.

“I was doing private parties and commercials and then I was offered a job in a show in Atlantic City,” he said.

After a whirlwind career that saw the star performing in Europe and Asia, Wizz now resides in Las Vegas where he performs his tribute to Michael, at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. The show has even gained the approval of members of the Jackson family.

“Katherine and Jermaine have been to see my show a few times in Las Vegas and they like a lot of things I am doing and they encourage me to keep doing it.”

So authentic is Wizz’s performance that some producers have even approached the actor to have plastic surgery.
“I don’t have a problem with surgery but if you have it you are stuck with it and you are in character all day and everyday, so I separate my personal life with who I am on stage.”

Performing with a musical entourage and dressed in authentic costumes and make-up, Wizz said that fans can expect a “high powered energetic show,” spanning the length of Michael’s musical career. “We mix it up so people don’t know what to expect next,” he said.

The ‘History – This is it’ tour, has already made it’s way through South Africa and New Zealand and will commence it’s Australian leg in May.

Wizz performs at the Sydney State Theatre on May 19th & 20th.
