Over the weekend, Andrew Lloyd Webber was interviewed by Piers Morgan, on the ITV programme ‘When Piers Met Andrew Lloyd Webber.’
During a discussion about the musical ‘Phantom Of The Opera,’ which is the most successful musical in recent history, Andrew Lloyd Webber said that he loved pop music.
“The person who I was most intrigued to talk about was Michael Jackson, funnily enough. He got very keen on the idea of doing ‘Phantom.’ He very much wanted to do the ‘Phantom,’ movie at one time.”
Piers then asked,
“Would Michael have been a good ‘Phantom?’”
Andrew Lloyd Webber replied,
“He would be very good, a very good ‘Phantom!’”
