American Idol’s Compliment

Fil-Am Thia Megia, has just received what may be one of the biggest compliments ever given by an ‘American Idol,’ judge to a contestant. During the semifinals held on March 2nd, that featured the Top Twenty-four contestants, record producer Randy Jackson (no relation to Michael) did not hide his astonishment at the quality of Megia’s voice, which reminded him of Michael.

“It’s been said and it is definitely true that the mark of a great singer… is the quality of the tone of the voice…. [and] your tone when we first heard you reminded me so much of the late, great Michael Jackson,” he declared.
