To help celebrate the many contributions Black Musicians have made throughout the years, Billboard.com’s ‘The Juice,’ is rolling out a list of twenty-eight milestones in black music history. Visit ‘The Juice,’ daily and help pay homage to some of the heroes, whom have made music what it is today.
The late, great Michael Jackson had too many memorable moments in his career to list, but one that will always stand out is, when he busted out the moonwalk for the first time!
Michael premiered the backwards glide, during a performance of ‘Billie Jean,’ at ‘Motown Twenty-Five,’ as a solo spotlight made the sequins on his jacket, shirt and single glove sparkle.
Inevitably, Michael got a standing ovation for his fancy footwork.
