Beat It! Clean It!

The United States’ Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), estimates that almost two million patients contract an infection, in hospitals across the country every year; it is a serious and costly patient safety issue. Thomas Jefferson University Hospital takes preventing infections seriously, but also creatively. Its latest effort to get more employees to wash their hands, is a music video take on Michael’s classic ‘Beat It.’

‘Wash ‘Em,’ is a six-minute video, featuring new lyrics and an inspired dance number, featuring everyone from the CEO of the hospital to members of the environmental services department. It shows that preventing hospital-acquired infections is everyone’s responsibility.
