Marches To Michael

Joliet Central High School marching band will perform three different half-time shows at home games in the Memorial Stadium with Michael’s music. They will be playing and marching to Michael’s ‘Thriller,’ ‘Dancing Machine’ and ‘I Want You Back.’

Mike Fiske, Joliet Central’s band director said in a recent interview; “My philosophy of the marching band has always been to entertain the crowd and provide a spirited environment at the game. It’s very similar to what the college bands do. It’s going to be a different thing than what people are used to seeing at (Joliet) West or Lincoln-Way or surrounding schools because they all kind of do that competitive marching. We are going to entertain the crowd, provide a spirited environment and play music that people know. My goal is that we’ll play enough music in the fall that people will hear one that they really, really like.”
