Vegas Auction

Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas will host Julien’s auction of two hundred of Michael’s personal belongings, from jackets, shirts, a glove, furniture and many other items. It will take place on June 25th, the first anniversary of Michael’s death.

Auctioneer, Darren Julien, said his personal favourite is a red military-style jacket that was one of the first outfits Michael wore on stage in his solo career. It’s estimated bids will climb to $100,000. A glove sold in a New York auction last November for $420,000.

Julien, celebrating his 10th year as president and founder of Vegas-based Julien’s Auctions, estimates all the Michael goods will bring anywhere from $1 million to $2 million.

Also to be auctioned are the twenty-two pieces of custom made furniture Michael commissioned for the house he was to occupy while he completed the O2 concerts last year. They will show these and other pieces at the warehouse, free and open to the public, June 14th to June 24th.

Online bids are being accepted worldwide at the firm’s website, juliensauctions.com.
