Murray In Court

At a hearing today of Los Angeles County Superior Court, a new judge, Michael Pastor, was assigned to take over the case against Doctor Conrad Murray, who is charged with the Involuntary Manslaughter of Michael Jackson on June 25th, 2009.

Fans flocked to the court and protested against the “leniency” of the charge, even hiring a plane to carry a banner demanding “Justice for Michael Jackson.” At the courthouse, Murray was subjected to screamed insults from fans and Jackson family followers. Mr & Mrs Jackson attended the court hearing together with Janet, La Toya, Jermaine and his wife and Randy.

The next hearing will be held on June 14th, when a date is expected to be set for a preliminary hearing of the case.

The California Attorney General’s Office is also seeking to have Murray’s medical license suspended. The California Medical Board is also beginning it’s own process to strip Murray of his license, or order to protect the public. Judge Pastor stated that he will not make a decision before the hearing on June 14th.

TMZ report that Murray has made an agreement with the Texas medical board not to administer sedatives, similar to the restriction placed on him in California the day he was charged. This agreement is expected to be made public on Friday. There was no mention of any restrictions in the State of Nevada.
