LAPD Investigation Complete

The LAPD’s investigation into Michael’s death has been “exhaustive” and “extremely thorough”, a source has told TMZ. It was completed at the end of December and will now be formally presented to the LA County District Attorney for potential charges to be filed against Doctor Conrad Murray, the last person to see Michael alive.

He could face criminal charges, which are likely to be filed in the next few weeks.

Michael died of Acute Propofol Intoxication on June 25th, 2009, after Doctor Murray admitted administering a small dose of the drug to help him sleep.

It is thought that it was not illegal to administer the drug, but he could possibly be charged with involuntary manslaughter, relating to gross negligence.

Doctor Murray has returned to practice medicine at the Armstrong Medical Clinic in Houston, Texas.
