Michael’s recording of a previously unreleased song ‘This Is It’ sparked quite a drama last week on it’s release, as Paul Anka moved quickly to stake his claim as co-writer. The song was released years ago by a little-known latin singer, and was promptly forgotten, until it was selected as the title track for Michael’s movie, CD and DVD of the same name.
There was no controversy however, as Mr Branca and Mr McClain immediately awarded Paul Anka with 50% of the profits from the song.
