Birdland Tribute

‘Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough’ was the title of tonight’s Birdland at Broadway concert, as a tribute to Michael Jackson. Norm Lewis, Capathia Jenkins, Darius de Haas, Destan Owens, Anwar Robinson, Kendrick Jones, Sophia Stephens, Kenny Williams, Jasmine Walker, Crystal Monee Hall, Asmeret Ghebermichael, Badia Fahra, Chasten Harmon, Emma Hunton and Harry Thompson all performed at the show. Jesse Vargas was the concert’s music director; an eight-piece band backed the artists.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit The VH1 Save The Music Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to “restoring instrumental music education in American public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child’s complete education.”
