David Gest Speaks Again

During an interview with the Shields Gazette, David Gest, who has been working in the North East of England, spoke of his distress when he heard of Michael’s death.

David said; “I cried. I couldn’t believe it was real. I spoke to his mother two nights ago, and we said it’s unreal that he has gone.

I miss him tremendously. He taught me how to produce shows.

He couldn’t believe that I became a TV star. He loved ‘This Is David Gest’.”

When asked if the image of Michael portrayed in the media was anything like the man he knew, he replied; “He wasn’t the Michael Jackson you know.  He was a wonderful person. He was my best friend. He has finally found peace.”
