Australian Fans Want Michael

Christos Winter came up with the idea of a petition to persuade Michael to visit Australia so that fans there could see him perform. He got the idea from the 1960’s when Bob Francis collected 80,000 signatures to bring the Beatles to Adelaide.

He used the social networking site Facebook to launch the petition and was stunned by the response.

In one week, 50,000 people signed up, with thousands more adding their names each day. Mr Winter thinks that his petition will encourage Michael to appear in Australia, even though he hinted that London may be his last concerts. He thinks that many of the people who signed the petition have never seen Michael perform live in concert, and would relish the chance
