As usual at this time of the year, with Halloween just around the corner, people all over America and other parts of the world are in training attempting to break the performance record of Michael’s ‘Thriller’.
We are all getting used to seeing people performing the dance at weddings, parks, shows, colleges and even in a Phillippino prison and this year is no exception. Advertisements are appearing offering dance lessons based on the song along with volunteers to actually perform in record-breaking attempts.
In Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles, dancers are being invited to join their attempt at the record, and organisers expect around one hundred people to attend. The Penobscot Bay YMCA are also asking people to join them as they try for the record. These sites are just a fraction of the organisations that are paying homage to Michael’s ‘Ode To Halloween’.
