Michael Speaks To Associated Press

In a rare conference call to Eric Talmadge of Associated Press, Michael read out a prepared statement regarding his forthcoming trip to Japan and his admiration for his Japanese fans.

The transcript from the conversation is as follows:

MJ: “Hello”

ET: “Hello Mr Jackson this is Eric Talmadge”

MJ: “Hi…are we…how are you?”

ET: “Pretty good how about you?”

MJ: “I look forward to visiting Japan again in March. It is one of my favourite places in the entire world! My friends and fans in Japan have been so supportive of me and my family for many, many years and I thank them for their love and support.

I will be attending two events in March – An event being attended by the business community and others on March 8th and a Fan Appreciation Event on March 9th. And I look forward to meeting and greeting all of them. I love my fans!

I would also like to thank Mr Broderick Morris CEO Positive Productions and Mr Daisuke Kodo of CEO God Gate Investment for hosting and sponsoring their respective events.

My fans in Japan have helped me to achieve historic milestones in the entertainment industry and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their continued support of me and my music.”
