Orianthi On ‘This Is It’

Speaking to weekender.com about her career, Orianthi, the blond, Australian female guitarist from Michael’s ‘This Is It’ concerts had the following to say about Michael when asked “What was that first moment with Michael Jackson like?”

“It was crazy, really crazy. I’m a big fan. I remember being really young, and he’d constantly come on TV and was like the coolest thing ever. When I got the email to come and audition for him, I didn’t think it was real, but I went and auditioned, met him, and he was the sweetest guy ever, really encouraging.
I just wanted to do my best for him. I’ve never been so nervous in my life playing, and he’s sitting right in front of me, and I played ‘Beat It’, and he hired us after that. It was pretty great.”
