‘Butterflies’ Wins at BMI for ‘Pop Song Award’

On Tuesday, September 16th at the BMI awards, Marsha Ambrosius received a ‘BMI Pop Award’ for writing the Michael Jackson Hit song ‘Butterflies’.

Marsha said; “Michael is a useful friend to have!” She also added; “Oh yeah! We talk – talk all of the time. It was his birthday recently and I couldn’t be there, I was here doing something I think, and it’s cool. I think he’s the most famous person on the planet and someone’s got to prod somewhere, someone’s got to give you stick somewhere, and if you don’t know him, you don’t know him. I do! Thank god for that!”
