Yesterday, Michael paid his respects to his long-time friend Maurice Gibb.
Barry Gibb and Michael did not attend funeral services for Maurice Gibb yesterday, instead they arrived an hour later at the funeral chapel to pray privately at Maurice Gibb’s coffin.
More than an hour after the funeral ended – and after Maurice’s twin, Robin, and other family members left the Riverside Funeral Chapel – the twins’ elder brother, Barry, pulled up with Michael, in a limo.
Barry Gibb, in black, and longtime family friend Michael, wearing a turquoise suit, went inside for a private goodbye to the 53-year-old pop legend, who died unexpectedly in the hospital Sunday, just days after emergency abdominal surgery.
“He was too distraught to go to the funeral,” a family spokesman said. “He and Michael went in for private prayers.”
Michael also sent flowers.
