Whilst Michael was in London in mid-June, one of the ‘Family Tree’ members from ‘The Invincibles’ Fan Club – Scooter Kate, came up with the brilliant idea to hire an open topped sight seeing bus. She thought that if she did, then there was a small possibility that Michael may join in with the fans as they walked through the streets of London.
The idea was presented to Michael’s people and they loved it, so Scooter Kate got together with long time fan David Lumby and they organised it together.
The bus arrived at Michael’s hotel and he got on. As it made it’s way through the extremely busy streets Michael waved to the fans and every so often reached down to collect banners. Michael then went onto Oxford Street where his presence caused absolute mayhem!
Another ‘Family Tree’ member from ‘The Invincibles’ – Waldo, was also lucky enough to go onto the bus with Michael.
Later that day Michael went to a show in the West End in wherein he thanked the fans for their loyalty and gave a special mention to Diana and Waldo.
