Divas 2000

As you probably already know, plans for this year’s VH1 Divas show are already under way. This year, the show is being called ‘Divas 2000: A Tribute to Diana Ross’ and the big names are pouring in as we speak. Already confirmed are disco diva Donna Summer, country diva Faith Hill, pop diva Mariah Carey, and drag queen diva RuPaul. With only a couple of weeks to go until show time, there are reports that some currently very hot names have been turned down, while others like Lauryn Hill and Janet Jackson are still being considered.

There has also been some speculation that the Queen Diva, Miss Ross, might even call on her legendary friend, King of Pop, Michael to make a special ‘honorary male diva’ appearance, like Elton John did last year for Tina Turner. Sounds like an awesome lineup if they can pull it off. Only time will tell the outcome of this one. The show will air on music channel VH1 on April 11th 2000.
