Michael’s father Joe Jackson was the guest of Bremen’s mayor Henning Scherf on Wednesday. Mr Jackson, who is 72, visited the city hall with the local government head. Bremen City Hall is a building of historic value, which was also visited by Michael two years ago, during the European leg of the ‘HIStory’ tour in Germany. At the time, Michael appeared before 5,000 fans waiting below, from the balcony of the City Hall. He said; “Isch dear di”.
The Mayor recalled Michael’s visit and described Michael to Mr. Jackson as a very modest, reserved and friendly person. Joe Jackson is in Bremen, in his capacity of representing music marketing companies that he operates in the USA. In Germany it is involved with the DMF German media fund AG, which is situated in Delmenhorst, close to Bremen. The DMF owns the rights of the talent competition ‘Show Biz’, and Mr Jackson is in Germany looking for a suitable location for the final of the Competition, in March 2000. Bremen is one location being considered.
The German TV RTL ‘Exclusive’ today aired a Joe Jackson live interview from Bremen, Northern Germany, where he is in search for talents. Joe Jackson declared “the former family group ‘Jackson 5’ are together again. They are in the studio right now, Michael included, recording a new album, which will be released next year.”
