Soundtrack for the Century

On October 12th 1999, Sony Music will release ‘Sony Music 100 Years: Soundtrack for the Century’. It is described as; “the most comprehensive collection of popular music ever assembled”, and promises to deliver the biggest hits from the greatest artists (including Michael) and the most influential music from the last 100 years.

The set will include: 26 CDs, over 40 hours of music, 547 songs from 479 artists, 308-page coffee table book, essays from the most respected writers in music, rare photos, historic artefacts, artist memorabilia. The full 26 CD set will be priced at $329, but all music will also be available in individual 2 and 4 CD sets.
