MJWN’s on the spot correspondents reported the following up to the minute info’ this evening;
“From the Ibis Hotel, Munich, You don’t want a room do you? ‘Cos, Mr. Jackson’s in town and everyone goes crazy! All of Munich goes mad when Michael’s in town!”
The atmosphere in Munich is electric – the weather adding to the excitement because it’s scorching RED HOT! The fans have been given water outside Michael’s hotel and the Radio Station Bayern 3 has played Michael’s sensational music all afternoon.
Pete the Clown, who most European fans will know from his antics outside The Lanesborough Hotel, London, Wembley Concerts and Adrian Grant’s MJ Days, was absolutely brilliant. He was wearing an Indian headdress over a green wig. He encouraged the fans to join in an MJ sing-a-long, including ‘Billie Jean’.

Just before Michael arrived the radio station played ‘Blood On The Dance Floor’ There are loads of posters placed all over Munich advertising the concert, which show Michael wearing the leather jacket plastered with badges from the ‘Dangerous’ Era. All the hotels have leaflets displayed advertising this special concert.
From Michael’s hotel you are able to see the stadium which is MEGA HUGE! It’s the home of Bayern Munich the famous German football club.
Michael arrived at his hotel at 7.20p.m. part of a convoy of 3 black vehicles. He was not accompanied by Elizabeth Taylor. Michael was in a BMW stretch limo which arrived at the barrier outside the hotel, and then drove anti-clockwise around the hotel.
Jonathan Morrish (Sony exec) and Marcel Avram arrived in Michael’s convoy. Michael sat in the car waving to his fans whilst Prince & Paris were transferred to the safety of the hotel. The childrens’ heads were covered. Prince was carried into the hotel first followed by Paris.
After a couple of minutes one of Michael’s security men approached the car with a blue and white umbrella and Michael finally left his vehicle.
Michael was wearing a black jacket, with gold braiding, hooped around the back and the front, very reminiscent of the ‘We Are The World Jacket’ worn for the recording of the world renowned song. He wore black trousers, no fedora, mirror sunglasses, and unusually for Michael an informal hairstyle! His hair was off his face, scraped back, and twisted into a bun! He did not wear a mask.
He walked over to a red podium and waved to fans, after which he went walkabout with the fans and collected some purple envelopes, then he entered the hotel Bayerish Hoff. The fans outside the hotel went MAD, as you would expect! Their banners have been laid upon the floor so Michael can look down upon them from his hotel room. There were two sex god posters!
The press are situated in front of the barrier which separates the fans from the hotel. They were originally sitting on the grass, after which they were moved on elsewhere.
Fans from all over the World have converged in Munich to support Michael, from Russia, Bulgaria, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, America, Lanzarote, Majorca, Germany, France and of course the UK!
Five lifts full of fans were allowed to give their posters and presents to Michael in his hotel room and then they went out again. Lucky People!
Later there was a downpour so the crowd thinned out a little. But the hardy fans remained singing to Michael and shouting “Michael We Love You!”
So people do go crazy when Mr. Jackson’s in town!
