A Street Named After Michael

In Detroit – Michigan, the home of Motown, the city council has announced that they will be naming a street after Michael. Michael Jackson Avenue, as it will be named, will be in a downtown section of the city called Randolph Street, which is in the theatre district.

Michael Jackson Avenue will be officially named on June 15th during a ceremony at the Detroit Music Weekend. Michael’s (Jackson 5) brothers, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon will also receive the keys to the city from Mayor Mike Duggan and will be headlining at the event. There is also a Jackson 5 Tribute act planned for later in the day.
