‘Chicago’ Gets A Reggae Rumble
Clinark is set to release his cover of Michael’s ‘Chicago’ as a tribute in commemoration of the 7th year of his passing, on 25 June 2016. UK based singer, songwriter and producer, Clinark said; ” I chose ‘Chicago’ as it’s my favourite from MJ’s posthumous album ‘Xscape.’ It has a kinda reggae vibe to it. That song grabbed me so I decided for my tribute to Michael I would do that one this year, in a reggae soul style mix.”
Bermuda born Clinark is a huge Michael Jackson fan and is renowned for his reggae tributes to Michael and the Jackson 5 with his previous works including; ‘I’ll Be There’ in May 2009 just before Michael’s passing. Then in 2010 he went on to release an 18 track album ‘A Tribute to Michael Jackson – A Legend and a Warrior’ that was nominated for the British Reggae Industry Awards (BRIA). He released ‘Off The Wall’ (the single) and ‘Forever Came Today’ in 2015 and composed his own tribute to Michael called ‘Happy Birthday MJ’ in 2014, which saw him move to a more soulful house style.
Here is Clinark’s version of ‘Chicago’ on ITunes.
‘Chicago’ will be available on all good digital download stores on Clinark’s own Nurture Projects Record label on 25 June 2016.
