Vintage Publicity Stills Capture Music Legends Frozen In Time

Publicity stills are designed to portray an artist in their best and friendliest light. Many celebrities are prone to flash their brightest smile. Others prefer to play it cool with stone-cold stares.

Publicity photos also capture artists frozen in time; a pony-tailed Michael Jackson, a mustachioed John Oates or a young Joan Jett at the height of her 1980s success.
