Jury Selection Continues

Today’s session comes a day after more than half of a pool of 187 prospective jurors were dismissed because they could not devote roughly five weeks to the case.

Everyone in the first group indicated they had some knowledge of the case against Dr. Conrad Murray, who is facing an involuntary manslaughter charge.

Court officials say 72 people filled out a detailed 30-page questionnaire that will be used to determine their knowledge and whether they have any strong opinions about Jackson or Murray.

Authorities contend Murray gave the singer a lethal dose of the anesthetic propofol, but he denies any wrongdoing.
