New York’s Apollo Theatre installed the first bronze rectangular plaques on the125th Street sidewalk in front of the theatre, honouring entertainers who have been inducted into the Apollo Legends Hall Of Fame.

Of course, Michael’s plaque will be installed, together with those for James Brown, Smokey Robinson and Ella Fitzgerald.

Michael first performed at the Apollo’s Amateur Night at age nine with his brothers. The Jackson 5, won the competition in 1969, when Michael was eleven years old, performing ‘Who’s Lovin’ You’.
