An unusual article appeared in L’Osservatore Romano, the Vatican’s official newspaper. It has published a “Vatican-approved” semi-serious guide to the Top 10 Pop/Rock Albums of all time. The article’s authors, Giuseppe Fiorentino and Gaetano Vallini, included such classics as The Beatles ‘Revolver’, Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Rumors’ and Michael’s ‘Thriller’ in the list.

Of ‘Thriller’ they said; “Some songs seem to have been written yesterday… while others still send shivers down the spine for their illuminating simplicity and musical thrust.”
