Michael’s memorial service at the Staples Center on July 7th, was attended by thousands of devoted fans, his many friends and family members. Now the NAACP Image Awards has nominated the ceremony for an Outstanding Variety Television Award.

The ceremony lasted about ninety minutes and was broadcast all over the world to many hundreds of thousands of people. Touching tributes were paid by Michael’s fellow artists in the music industry and by long-time friends. His family also spoke of his love for his children, the planet, his music and the legacy he will leave for future generations of fans.
